Genius: strong natural disposition, attitude, talent. This is @IsabelitaVirtual aka Isabel Martinez: a free and creative mind, which in recent years has gone beyond any barrier, communicating through simple but impacting images, her surreal vision of the world.
Born and raised in Barcelona, Isabel is today an award-winning creative director and photographer who has collaborated with brands such as Dior, Hermès, Kenzo, Tiffany & Co, Coach, & Other Stories, Sony, Viktor & Rolf, Boucheron, Delpozo, The Moscow Ballet. She has also a lot of collaborations with famous magazines.
The world created by Isabel is complex and, through social networks, she has been able to create a new visual communication, unique and recognisable everywhere. In her profile @IsabelitaVirtual, appears as a description “CREATING MY UNIVERSE” and this is what we discover flowing image after image: a universe of ideas and emotions.
From 2011 to today, with 687 thousand followers, manages to inspire and intrigue her “public”.
Her popularity on Instagram has grown exponentially. In 2014, The Cut included her as “50 Fashion Social Media Voices to Follow”. The following year, the co-founder of Instagram, Kevin Systrom, revealed to an interview with i-D Magazine his 3 favorite fashion accounts: @isabelitavirtual was one of these.
In 2016 she was included in “Yo Dona Magazine” as one of the 100 most important Spanish women of the year for the third consecutive year.
She is currently represented by Steven Pranica, founder of the CXA agency, one of the most important agencies in the sector, who has the pride of representing artists such as David LaChapelle, Coco Capitan, Daphne Guinness, Giovanni Bianco, only to name a few.
Isabel’s vision of fashion is open, sometimes surreal but transports those who observe her images in her universe, accompanying them by hand in something new and unexpected.
What will this fervent creative mind have in store for the future? We don’t know but we can be inspired by her vision of the world that remind us that only art, often, can fills the soul of beauty.
