Senjan Jansen

Senjan Jansen is a composer, sound director and designer, as well as music producer.

Following a degree in film directing from the RITCS School of Arts in Brussels, he crossed over to extend his focus to fashion when elusive Belgian designer, Haider Ackermann asked him to produce the sound scape for his inaugural ready-to-wear show in March 2001.

Senjan represents what fashion sounds like – recording and composing intimate musical soundscapes and auditory environments which echo a brand’s ethos and visual narrative – collaborating with iconic designers and illustrious brands including Haider Ackermann, Dries Van Noten, Berluti, Raf Simons, and Chitose Abe for Sacai, amongst others. Beyond runway shows, Senjan continues to orchestrate sound for motion pictures, as well as regularly collaborates with Willy Vanderperre on advertisements and brand films for Dior and Prada.

Senjan’s work moves runway shows and commercial work beyond entertainment and spectacle as he draws from experiences to engage audiences in the performing arts and film industry. He enables his soundscapes to manipulate, surprise, disguise, and to captivate. Senjan creatively conceives a tension which evolves, turns and comes to climax, all while coming to life through sound in one narration.
