LAMB Design Studio creates high-level concepts for museum exhibitions, retail installations and branded experiences that embody revolutionary design practices. Founded by critically acclaimed production designers Nathan Crowley and Shane Valentino, the NYC-based studio has shaped the collective visual language for decades. Known for a unique diversity of styles that reflect individuality of each client, LAMB embeds their signature style with references to contemporary culture.
Through their thoughtful attention to detail and vivid imagination, LAMB Design Studio fosters an immersive exhibition experience that encourages viewers to perceive spaces in a unique manner. Most recently, the NYC-based studio designed 2019’s Met Gala, In Pursuit of Fashion that subtly evoked the glamour of Detroit’s Art Deco architecture. The designers are no stranger to the star-studded annual fundraising event as they are frequent contributors — China: Through the Looking Glass (2015), Schiaparelli & Prada (2012), American Woman (2010), and Super Heroes: Fashion and Fantasy (2008).
"With the use of reflective surfaces; cinematic lighting; and a winding, maze-like format, artistic director Wong Kar Wai and production designer Nathan Crowley have created a truly immersive experience."
Having synthesized directorial vision into crystallized movie universes for over three decades, LAMB Design Studio has cemented their status as masters of composition and color. Together they have accumulated six BAFTA nominations, five Academy Award nominations, and one Emmy nomination. Their resume includes both summer blockbusters (Dunkirk, The Dark Knight, Batman Begins) and plucky independents (Nocturnal Animals and La Traviata).
"Crowley is one of Hollywood’s most daring and sought-after production designers."
