Galeries Lafayette x Coco Capitán
Galeries Lafayette Champs-Élysées presented an installation by Capitán showcasing her limited edition apparel collection of wearable serial art pieces featuring her iconic aphorisms, 12 uniquely designed skateboards, and limited-edition posters, all within the Culture section of the store. As part of the launch of the collection, Coco signed her book, ‘If You’ve Seen It All, Close Your Eyes,’ published by Chose Commune.
100% of the skateboard proceeds were donated to Cuba Skate, a non-profit that appropriates abandoned areas and turns them into safe spaces for the skateboarding community. The funding also helped Cuba Skate in their project to build the island’s first official skatepark.
Book Signing
As part of the launch of the collection, Coco signed her latest book ‘If You Have Seen It All, Close Your Eyes,’ published by Chose Commune. Coco Capitán presents her first collection of wearable serial art pieces carrying her iconic aphorisms.
The Skateroom x Coco Capitán Edition
Coco Capitán designed and created 12 unique boards from scratch. These original works were presented at the Galeries Lafayette in Paris during a signing for her new book, ‘If You’ve Seen it All. Close Your Eyes.’
Through the collaboration, the Skateroom donated 100% of the sales revenue to Cuba Skate. The funding helped the non-profit to appropriate abandoned areas and turn them into safe spaces for the skateboarding community.
