50 years after first being introduced at Royal Copenhagen’s flagship store, artist and goldsmith Arje Griegst’s fabled Triton collection makes a comeback for 3 Days of Design, curated by Dan Thawley and Noam Griegst.
Created in close collaboration with the Griegst family, the exhibition revisits the origins of the seashell-inspired porcelain series and its revival in three new glazes—Sand beige, Ocean blue and Celadon green. Through a series of infinity-mirror vitrines displaying Griegst’s personal objects, original moulds and workshop pieces, visitors are invited into the artist’s imaginative world and creative process.
The exhibition culminates in a monumental installation of finished Triton porcelain alongside unglazed bisque from the Royal Copenhagen factory, highlighting the relationship between raw material and refined craftsmanship. An immersive soundscape and custom scent further evoke the collection’s oceanic fantasy.
