Curated by Dan Thawley, Matter & Shape hosts a pop-up designed by Willo Perron as part of the first edition of the design salon in Jardin des Tuileries, Paris, bringing a refreshing and elevated perspective to the world of design exhibitions.
Presented alongside Paris Fashion Week, the inaugural show features a broad spectrum of design approaches with established brands like Alessi, Lobmeyr, Bocci, GRAU, and Flos (with Philippe Malouin) showing alongside independent practitioners, galleries, and projects like Akari Endo, Typ, Artment.dep, Natalia Criado, PIN–UP HOME, and TON.
Positioned between the contexts of a blue-chip trade fair and an exhibition of rare historical collections, Matter & Shape combines unique expressions of taste and aesthetics in a neutral, contemporary frame in order to spotlight the expansive nature of design.
The space includes a restaurant by WE ARE ONA and a a design bookstore and boutique with selections by Apartamento and Rare Books Paris.
