After a brief trip into the future via a trio of CGI models, Balmain lands back in 2018 with a new campaign to celebrate its BBox bag.

The French house has enlisted none other than Daphne Guinness for its latest short film. The video, directed by Jake Nava, is part of an ongoing project aimed at celebrating the new bag. “For my latest campaign – a series of videos that we’re calling The Balmain Beat – it was important for me to focus on a diverse group of talents from all over the world, each embodying the confidence, daring and spirit of the Balmain Army,” Olivier Rousteing explained.

In the short clip, we see Guinness taking the wheel of an 18-wheeler truck – dressed in the sparkly fashions of Balmain, naturally. “Daphne was a perfect fit,” Rousteing added. “She’s someone who clearly loves art, design, adventures, and challenges. She leads an amazing life and always manages to look amazing while doing that.”

In addition to Guinness, musician Mina Rose has already appeared in her own set of images and a short film and is set to be joined by more in the next few days.
