Paul Sinclaire Styled Richard Gere for L’Uomo Vogue
Nov. 13, 2018
Paul Sinclaire, former editor of Vogue Italia, returns to the purlieu of men’s fashion; styling actor Richard Gere in Giorgio Armani for the November 2019 issue of L’Uomo Vogue.
“The work that Paul Sinclaire did for L’Uomo Vogue preceded the new silhouette created by Hedi Slimane or Dior and the work of Thom Browne in the U.S. At a time when the Armani slouch was a predominant look on both side of the Atlantic, Paul’s work was clearly going in a different direction. His approach to styling created a parallel world in which the masculine was rendered in a deeply poetic way. This was years ahead of the work that any other major stylist was doing in menswear.”
