David LaChapelle directed and designed The Red Piano, a show performed by Elton John at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. Rather than distracting attention away from John’s melodic rock and timeless pop balladry, LaChapelle’s eye candy sharpens the focus on the music by plugging into its themes and emotions, bombarding the senses with brilliant video montages and riveting short films.
